GRAPPA ALEX

Made from a combination of the most famous grapes grown in Northeast Italy, Alexander White Grappa is manufactured through three distinct temperature-controlled distillation stages. The procedure is carried out in conventional copper alembics, which enable bain-marie heating (an indirect and hence more delicate technique) and under vacuum distillation (a stronger protection of aromas). This elegant Grappa is matured for almost six months in steel tanks prior to bottling, which improves its smoothness and aromatic flavor.

Serving Suggestions

Grappa is excellent as an after-dinner drink, especially when it is paired with savory cheese or meat dishes. It is a component of lengthy drinks and cocktails and can be consumed cold or even chilly. It pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, cocoa-based pastries, and dried fruit—particularly raisins, chestnuts, dates, or dried figs. It is customarily used to rectify espresso coffee and, in Veneto and Friuli, to dilute the final coffee drops that are left in the cup (Resentin). The combination of the energizing properties of coffee and the calming effects of alcohol creates a pleasant feeling of vitality and well-being.
