Mijenta Cristalino starts with our Blanco tequila, which is aged for about eight months in barrels made from oak wood from the forests of Kentucky, Minnesota and Missouri. Unlike other Cristalinos, Mijenta’s exhaustively tested, proprietary filtration method uses vegan charcoal to remove color while maintaining the depth of flavors and aromas that develop in the barrels. Achieving this result requires careful balancing of the filtration process, including precise control of contact time, flow and amount of charcoal.
